I'm going to assume they meant Throwout Bearing. If that's the case, the engine, trans, torque converter, and CVs are likely thrashed on really hard.

A properly installed throwout bearing doesn't go bad without a lot of persuasion. A bad output shaft can do it easily, but that should be visible by the installer IMO.
